I brought up an argument like this in ethics class. I was like since thousands of people are killed and hurt each year in car wrecks (no just drunk drivers) why don’t we ban cars too. The teacher was like they do too much good and help us. I was like, but they kill people like guns do. And guns help way more people that they hurt. I speak from experience when I say guns are needed for some families. Some hunt for food because they can’t afford the price of beef except for special occasion.
His defence? It’s not the Cars fault. Blame should be laid on the operator because with out an operator the car can’t function. I then asked him “how do you think a gun works?”
